I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. It doesn’t matter which players are on the field, as long as we play a base prevent D, the results will be the same. We could have Alabama’s of Clemson’s players and if we told them to play prevent defense all night, teams would march right down the field on them in 10-15 yard chunks until they score.
I simply do not understand why we don’t put 4 on the line, press the coverage, and blitz the quarterback. The fee times we have blitzed the quartebakck this year the results have been successful. Why don’t we do it more!!!! I just don’t understand. Result will remain the same until a new defensive philosophy is established.
