This is a ranking sysem I have been doing since 2004. It is just a hobby I like doing to pass the time. Just something I put together to judge each team without any bias or without my homer views. I work on it throughout the beginning of the season and try to get it released after 4 games have been played. The SOS (strength of schedule) I create myself with a modifier added to takeaway strength for scheduling FCS teams. I take into account where games are played (home, road, neutral) and add value. I also add in margins, basically a point difference between points for and points allowed by each team. I also add value to non-conference games. This includes values for wins and losses vs FCS, G5, and P5 teams. Unfortunately, the table here won't allow more than 10 columns, so I reduced it to what I feel are the more important columns.
Anyway, without further ado, I present the first PPI rankings (top 30 only) of the 2022 season. (And yes, I am used to people shitting all over it, so whatever).
