What's really sad is the end game of ALS. It's a cruel and slow death and not a dignified way to die.
Having lost my mother and best friend to ALS, my reaction to their passing was as much about relief as it was about grief.

That is often the case, in situations like that, CT, and then we have a degree of guilt, for having those thoughts and feelings. That's normal, but we DO learn to understand that It's OK...
