It would seem to me an easy solution to the roster uncertainty the portal creates would be for the NCAA to require contracts. An athlete wants to receive NIL incentive through a respective school's structure? Then said player would be required to sign a 4 year contract committing to that school. If said player wants to transfer out, then receiving school would be required to reimburse school/foundation/etc the NIL spent up to that point on said player.
Obviously this is not being done for a reason...I'm just curious as to why.
