So they are leaning towards not expanding the playoffs???? I can't believe they would leave it at 4. If so then its not good for OU

To tell you the truth, I don’t mind it. I’d rather have Oklahoma work on becoming a quality SEC team than winning the big 12 every year and getting destroyed by an SEC team in the playoffs! Don’t want another Alabama, LSU ass reaming! If by some grace of God we go undefeated this year and make the playoffs, that is just what we’re going to get in the playoffs!
It may take a few years of losing 3-4 games a year for the athletic department to get serious about winning again.
Hopefully they will be ready to compete Sooner than that !
I personally think OU will have to make it obvious that they are good enough to be in the playoffs this year. I don't know if they will give them the benefit of the doubt again. I hope not
Who said it's not expanding? All the latest news is saying it's expanding it's just a question of 8 or 12 and when.
I believe they had a meeting yesterday and they were leaning towards not expanding. They were talking about it on the animal
I would prefer that they get rid of the bowls all together and go to a true playoff system that the NCAA already has in every other division of football.
They are leaning towards more meetings about the meeting meetings, which will also require meeting meetings in advance, to discuss the meeting meetings, and it will all be in nice locations with plenty of sun, and free drinks.
And no masks until someone whips out cameras
since it comes down to money don't see them getting rid of bowl games
There is probably more money for television if it was a true playoff system.
Which the bowls can play their part in one way or another until the viability becomes cost prohibitive
I am pretty sure Riley and Co. have seen what it takes to win in the playoffs. We are not there yet by a longshot. If he doesn't know then we are in trouble. Studs, studs and more studs on both sides of the ball, consistent play throughout the season as well. OU won't be at the top of the Pecking Order in the SEC like it has been in the Big 12 minus 2 so we better get ready asap. I saw where Riley was questioned a few days ago about the OU offense struggling and other offenses as well. He said Defenses are catching up to the high octane offenses, he better get more innovative and use that great offensive mind of his if thats the case.
