1. M. Quick - Playing as a true freshman is never easy especially when you're the youngest guy on the team and the biggest threat opposite you (Shepard) is struggling with injuries, however he showed some flashes that I think we'll see more of this year. In this offense I think he'll see 5-7 targets a game whether they be screens, crosses, or deep balls and I think he'll end up being a solid weapon by the time we reach October. Dude has the potential to be the next in line of great small WRs at OU following in the footsteps of Clayton, Broyles, and Shepard although he has a ways to go to reach their status and is still unproven.
2. Mark Andrews - Not the boldest selection but the last time we had a guy with his skill set he was an All-American (Gresham) and don't think for a second Stoops doesn't remember how valuable of a weapon a guy like this can be especially on 3rd downs. He'll be a menace for defenses whether he has his hand in the ground or is lined up in the flex spot which probably suites him best in this offense. This guy will be a future NFL player if he develops as many of us think he will. With the RBs we have life could get very easy for him with play action bound to leave passing lanes wide open over the middle of the field.
3. Steven Parker - Rarely do true freshman safeties see significant playing time but that's exactly what this guy got last year and that experience is going to be huge this year. There's a reason he was wanted by schools all over the country and he showed flashes of why on the field even though he admittedly struggled at times. This year I expect to see him much more comfortable and to cement himself as an all-conference caliber player while making plays all over the field.
There's some other guys I expect to step up with more playing time such as D.J. Ward (who you have to remember missed 2 years of football before last year which set him back) but I think these 3 will household names in the near future.
