Was absolutely the “lateral”

There was absolutely a lead up by the final straw was the lateral to Ragins.

Venables stated in the post game presser, and you can clearly see, that OU should be running on said play due to defensive alignment. The pass shouldn’t have even been an option, let alone to be behind the LOS.

One thing that struck me was BV saying MHJr. has the ability to “execute the basics of the offense” which to me says more about JA’s inability to see/identify things than it does about Hawkins Jr’s ability.

I’m going to do a full breakdown but I believe JA’s issue is not talent but his ability to see the field pre and post snap. He has a slowler clock and doesn’t seem to have the visual field to play the game at the highest level.
