Yes, Rodney Anderson going down sucks. I feel for the kid. He's battled a lot, and he will continue to do so. But from a pure football standpoint, I think some people forget Rodney did not become our go to back until the 7th game of the season last year. He was 3rd string!
Rodney's first 6 Games:
vs. UTEP: 4 car, 14 yds, 1 TD / 1 rec, 9 yds
@ Ohio St.: 3 car, 10 yds / 1 rec, 12 yds
vs. Tulane: 4 car, 8 yds / 0 rec, 0 yds
@ Baylor: DID NOT PLAY
vs. Iowa St.: 1 car, 2 yds / 1 rec, 6 yds
vs. Texas: 10 car, 48 yds / 0 rec, 0 yds
Rodney touched the ball a TOTAL of 25 times in our first 6 games of 2017
My point in this is that the national media is going to doubt us even more now. They finally have something to talk about besides Nick Saban's 2 QB situation. But trust in Lincoln. He found a way to make Rodney a major part of our offense. Look for him to do the same with one of our 4 other guys. Personally, I see Sutton and Pledger becoming breakout stars. What say you?
