Man that was an amazing performance by Mahomes last night. As much as I hate to give props to anyone coming from Kingsbury, that kid can ball. His final season at Tech, they went 5-7 and then KC picked him up 10th overall.

With the way things have been changing, I think this shows that the perception of Big12 QBs is more an indictment on the utilization by NFL coaches than they are about the QBs being "system" quarterbacks.

With whats going on with Goff at the Rams, it makes you wonder what could have been with Sam Bradford. I had my doubts about Sam because even though he was a hell of a QB for us not once did he bring OU back in a game they trailed. Not to mention he had a top 5 maybe even top 3 Oline the year we lost to Texas and Florida. Lets just say I wasn't surprised he's struggled in the NFL but Jeff Fisher wasn't any help either.

Having said all this, man I'm really excited to see how Baker develops. I don't know if Hue Jackson is the answer but if he can have the impact that Andy Reid, Sean Peyton and Doug Pederson have had. Baker will be special. He's got some things to work out being a rookie and all, but he shows the kind of moxie you want out of a QB. I never saw this out of Sam or even Romo (being a Cowboys fan and all).
