All I would say is, OU needs the right coaching staff to pull the N Texas kids. I have watched OU's recruiting in TX since 1999 and OU has rarely been the top choice for the blue-chip TX recruits.

We are close though. Interesting to watch if Cooks can keep Cobb and if he signs w OU. That will be a really good test bx TCU, A&M, and UT are always going to be the competition for the top Texas talent and Cooks is very good recruiter.

IMO, if Monty was still at OU, then Daniels probably sticks. DR may end up being a great DL coach & recruiter but the years in the NFL as an assistant coach & a 1 year asst d line coach at Stanford kinda leads to the predictable learning on the job in year 1 (hopefully only 1 year) w respect to recruiting.

Bob somehow gets it done consistently without signing top ten classes...I know he wants the best high-school talent in the country to sign with OU.

Even though Daniels is gone, I have learned that Bob isn't going to quit and OU football will be good to great w respect to W & L's.

Good fortune to Mr Daniels...hard to hate on a 18 yr old young man when you look at the big picture.
