For a second consecutive week, the college football schedule offered up very little in the way of upsets. Oh, there were good games. Notre Dame's desperate 4th and 16 scramble on what became a game-winning drive against Duke, Ole Miss topping LSU in a vintage Big-XII track meet, Baylor staging an improbable 28-point comeback. And there were near upsets, with Auburn taking an unusually vulnerable Georgia to the wire, and Neon Deion succeeding in embarrassing Alex Grinch's defense, but not quite doing enough to get the W against the Trojans. When the rubber met the road, though, the favorites took care of business, leaving us with an unusually crowded Survivor Pool five weeks into the action.
