Lose as a 27 point favorite to a depleted K-State squad for the second straight year while blowing a three touchdown lead in the second half?

Let's see, three picks, a blocked punt and a fumble.

This is nothing short of a joke and a very bad joke at that.

Inexcusable, simply inexcusable.

Riley learned from Stoops that the fans need to be prepared to lose one or 2 a year and be content to compete for CCG, anything on top of that is icing on the cake. I’m trying to recall the last time I saw a Nick Saban team lose in the fashion we do.

Hmmmm. Can't recall a Nick Saban team blowing a 3-possession lead to a fvcking dog among dogs.

The disappointments continue. You think you would learn that the Wildcats are not to be ignored by the Coaching Staff. This fail stings more this year. Two weeks preparation, and this sloppy play and haphazard coaching was to be expected? Got to question why we can play somewhat solid football in one half, then fall to pieces in the second. Again I saw no fire or urgency when the Cats clawed back. Zero.

On top of everything, l dropped my laptop yesterday, so replying is limited. But l got pretty tired of hearing how depleted KSU was. During key points in the game, we had a walkon at center, a walkon at receiver and a walkon getting embarrassed at inside linebacker.

Sooner fans have a sad outlook before game 6. OUr OLine can't block KState, even though Arky St could. We couldn't stop KSU, though ASU could.

I suspect that this season is the worst season in my 69 year lifetime to be inexperienced at quarterback.

OUr talent level overall, is lower than it has been in at least a decade.

We have a depth shortage at qb, at rb, at wr, at DL, at LB and are overrated at DB and way overrated at ol. And we have a leadership shortage everywhere on the roster. I cannot imagine this team losing fewer than three games. We might be pretty good when the suspended guys return.

But l think we learned yesterday that looking great against a lousy FCS program, doesn't mean much.

Worst of all, 3/4 of those in attendance in Dallas, will likely be wearing orange.

Agree. Over the past few weeks I could not believe that OU was 3rd ranked with such unproven depth, its two best defenders gone pro and a secondary that was average at best.....and coming off a horrific 63-28 loss in a CFB playoff game.
I see a team that ultimately could lose 3-5 games and Texas has to be licking its chops at OU’s decline.
Plaino makes good points about Mead, McIver and the overrated secondary.
I’m not sure that Chandler Morris isn’t the best QB on the roster. He was hailed as the most accurate passer in Texas while in high school and has good mobility.

Worst to best

Safety, easily the worst position group.
Dline..got pushed around. The smaller "speed D", got mauled.
Oline. I thought they had a chance to be one of the best. Maybe the worst Oline in 10 years.
DB. Never on the same page with the safeties
RB, not sure if it's all them or the horrible Oline
Special Teams.. put your head on a swivel
WR, not bad for what they got
TE, bright spot

Sums it up well...and please keep Mead on the bench.

I agree CT, but I really doubt after Saturday even Texas fans are all that confident in the Horns winning the B12. They were very lucky to survive that game and if anything it showed what everyone already knows. Playing defense in the B12 is not a priority at all. Right now through 2 games it looks as if little brother might actually have the best defense in the league. At this point I think ISU, Texas and then TCU will tell us everything about where the season is headed. I could easily see OU going 3-0, 2-1, 1-2 or worse 0-3. These are all toss-ups game at this point.

If they go 0-3 with the group of players we have now it wouldn't surprise me if they just fold up the tent on the season. Man I hate saying that but the reality is this team is full of question marks.

From what I saw this was nothing more than a display of Total Sorriness on both sides of the ball.

There will be no repercussions for coaches players etc this year because they will all use the covid card. “It prevented us from practicing etc.” this year is nothing more than a disappointing exhibition season and the players and coaches are playing it that way.

Yes, it appears that way. It's as much of a money grab as it is anything else.
