This year the teams are mostly closely matched. OU much better on offense and Texas on defense. I don’t think people realize how much more so than any game we play it’s about desire. When we lost in 2013 I remember discussing it with Teddy and Dusty. They worked the sideline for OU then. They said after the first few plays they knew we were in big trouble. We were favored by a bunch. They said the intensity Texas was bringing every play we weren’t matching. Texas led by Jeffcoat and thats group of seniors had never beat OU. Their seniors led them that day to a victory.
We are going to have to run the football tomorrow and stop the run. There’s an old saying the game is won in the trenches. I think to win tomorrow the defensive line has to win the battle in the trenches.
