Oklahoma needs to continue collecting style points. We've had some emphatic wins and a dramatic double overtime thriller. We have a Heisman quality QB and the best RB tandem (arguably) in the country. There's a lot of buzz around our program in the media right now so we have to ride that wave.
I know a lot of teams are getting the benefit of the doubt right now because of their brand (i.e. Alabama, LSU, USC) but OU also carries a lot of brand weight.
I say that to say this, if OU scores and plays defense the way it has the past 2 months, the voters will find a way to squeeze us in. I truly believe that. The voters know who OU is. We're not Houston or Oklahoma State trying to play spoiler.
