Very glad to hear this news! Won't ever be able to recapture what was lost in the rivalry when NU bolted for the B10, but always loved this game for nostalgic reasons.
Don't overlook the date on the story...November-2012...It's been in the works for a while. Definitely something to look forward to!
I didn't even look at the date in the story, but wasn't aware that we had it scheduled. Just saw it pop up on my FB news feed like it was something new.

Absolute, no worries, it's a good topic, regardless of when the story broke.
Now that NU is in the B1G, I have to admit, they've fallen off my college football radar screen and I only watch them 2, maybe 3 times throughout the season. When they were in the B12, I watched at least 8 or 9 of their games each year and I loved the old Big 8 rivalry with them. At the time, I'd say the NU rivalry was bigger than our rivalry with texass.
So, I have developed kind of a "meh" feeling about this game, especially since it's no longer a confernece/rivalry game, and partly because I still have some heartburn about them leaving the conference. I'm sure that as time draws closer, I'll get more excited about it, but right now it's just another "big name" non-conference game like Bama, Notre Dame, Tennessee, Oregon, tOSU, etc. Leading up to the game will be exciting, but once it's over, it will be just another score in the record books.

Man, wouldn't that be super-cool if the did re-schedule it for Thanksgiving Day??? Good call!
We should get a petition together to have a throwback year where we get Nebraska on Thanksgiving day. Of course the schedule is so far out now that we may not be around to see it.
I would love to see that. I become an Oklahoma fan on Thanksgiving day in 1971. Even though the Sooners lost, the Sooner magic grabbed me and has never let go.
