OU had a poor showing on Tuesday against Auburn losing 3-2 in match play. OU did not look energized and never had the momentum. Auburn lost to OSU in the afternoon. OSU vs Bama for the Natty today. OSU has been #1 for most of the year and have home field advantage this year.

Yeah, kind of like us and the WCWS, except even on a larger scale. Biggest differences between the two is I believe they actually practice on Karsten Creek, where OU doesn’t play at the Softball Hall of Fame. But OU has a decided fan advantage at the WCWS, where golf has little fanfare.

A home golf course is a HUGE advantage, which also speaks to what OU was able to overcome last year in Illinois. OSU had a great team this year, but I had a student that’s playing at NSU that took eckroat to task year in and year out in high school.

I’m always happy whenever any Oklahoma team does well though, even if I’d prefer it to be OU.
