Good job ladies! Swept La-La today after around a 3 hour rain delay.

Paige wasn't a monster Friday night. She needed a lot of great defense to "hold" the Cajun's to 6 runs in a 7-6 nail biter. OU never trailed. It was 3-0 then 3-3 after three. Romero hit the foul pole for a 4-3 Sooner lead. Then it went to 6-3 and 7-3 with a run in T7. But Paige got a little jittery in B7. She walked the ninth place hitter on four pitches, none close to the zone. Then gave up a double off the top of the wall in right center to Hayden who led of the game last night with a homer. Two fly outs the second was Elkins, their best hitter. The runners, down four, didn't try to advance. They clean up hitter hit it out deep to cut it to 7-6.

Craighten had a five pitch walk, bringing up the winning run. Parker looked not in command for the first time in a month. But she got Sanders, their shortstop, to hit a little soft liner between first and second and Knighten got there just off the edge of the infield and grass and the Sooners celebrated.

There were some pretty happy ladies wearing crimson.

The WCWS starts Thursday. Four teams one day, four the next. Not sure if OU plays Thursday or Friday. They'll play the winner of Alabama - Washington. The CT beat UDub in game one, 2-1 in eight innings.
