Iowa State lost to UL, a Sunbelt team who is playing well enough to be ranked, but I still have doubts as to just how good they are.

Regardless, I can’t help but have that same uneasy feeling — ie.the calm before the shyt show.

Apparently the pollsters have doubts too. UL, now 3-0, dropped out of the top 25 from 19.

Last week. They are starting first week of November.

I would tend to agree, but then I remembered that OU started the 1985 season on September 28 ranked # 2, after most teams had played a few games. Granted, I think CFB started the Saturday, or maybe two Saturdays, after Labor Day in those days.
