Just wondering what the Sooners defense is going to look like against TCU. Hoping that they show some aggressiveness and bring some heat on the QB. Please don't sit back and get eaten alive.

Robinson’s lack of solid and sound decisions at QB better be exploited this week. Kenny Hill was far more a threat and we throttled him big time with him having a better offensive supporting cast.

I want to see the defensive linemen engage the offensive linemen and get off blocks and make plays in the backfield. The inside linebackers need to do a better job of attacking the inside run and playing their cutback lanes. The biggest thing I want to see though is the defensive backs making plays on the ball.

Simplify and let the players play. Move Kelly to the Hybrid, he takes a lot better angles then Bolton. Outside of Galimore and Faamatua, I don't like many of the knuckle on the ground guys. Move Bookie to CB, sit Norwood and get Barnes more snaps. Play Brown, Motley, Broiles, Parker, Bookie, Haughton and Barnes. Rotate, Silvey,Edwards and Yell.
I would like to see Draper and Bonito get more reps.

Whats really a shame is that it got overlooked for so long it may be a hole that will take some real digging to get out of. Hopefully some things can be tweaked enough that it at least gives the offense a fighting chance to overcome it. Hopeful but cautiously optimistic I am.

Our defenses have a detailed history of making “not good’ QB’s look like good QB’s . Every Big 12 QB has the best game of their season when they play our D.

True but if you go off of history too... we don’t lose off byes in fact coming off byes we play our best fb. We’ve also made good qbs not look so good too. Anyway , I think we won’t have that qb problem anymore.

I sure hope you are right!

TCU seems to play us tough every year, even in down years. Having said that, tOSU (and the Big10 as a whole) looks extremely over-rated by nearly losing to that TCU team at a neutral site packed with Bucknuts.

All we can hope for Saturday is incremental improvement - I really don't want to see a scrum go for an additional 10 yards like it did vs UT because no one on the D will commit to wrapping up. And since TCU's QB is relatively mobile I would like to see a LB assigned to shadowing him...something we didn't do vs Ehlinger.

This team is way too talented and fast to just sit back and react. I want to see the defense ATTACK! Hopefully, with Mike gone, the defense will be the aggressor for a change.

Think we'll see a real 4 man front with Perkins and Mann on the edge. Jackson has been playing well but he's likely to get relegated to a situational position.

Gallimore and Bledsoe at 3 and 1 techniques, Bookie at nickel and the same guys at SS, FS and CBs. Murray and Bolton at MLB and Will. Jones in a situational 4-3.

Think we see more zone blitzing and an actual pass rush from the front 4. Do this and Perkins, Mann, Gallimore and Bookie will have a chance to shine.

Guess we can do like we have for the past few years concerning the defense as have the defenders of MS, hope in one hand and crap in the other and see which one fills up the fastest. Prettty much all we can do at this point in the Season. Mikey should have been fired when Riley took over but you can thank Bob Stoops for that. He should have never been brought back to OU but thank BS again for that. After this debacle that is a cloud over OU i wish it would be a NCAA Rule that no Family Members can be a part of the same teams Coaching Staff. Not even kissing cousins. Family and Business does not mix.

Overton needs to regain his form, and by God yes we need to have Perkins getting in that backfield causing havoc. No backfield disruption and crappy tackling has brought horrible results thus far. Play angry but also play smart. Roughing QB penalties will be called over and over...most seem avoidable.

All I know is we need to win by a large margin, so the D has to step up. Why?

Any of you still harboring dreams of making the playoffs, I see our main way in as getting in over a 1-loss tOSU team (maybe loses to UM; Purdue may even give them fits this Saturday). tOSU could have easily lost to TCU and won by 12, and that will be the only common opponent. So a 20+ point win in a game never in doubt would be helpful....

It will be interesting to see how we do

Under Mike we were giving up 421 yards of offense, TCU on the avgs 414. If we can hold them to 370 to 380 then I will say our d has shown a sign they can improve. Of course there are so many intricacies.

From 414 down to 370/380 ! Hell, I want to see a defense hold 'em to 250/275.

It CAN be done. Just ask me.

I think it’s been all about fundamentals the past two weeks.
And that’s been what was needed. For the players.
For the coaches, it’s going to be all about adjustments. Something that Mike either couldn’t or wouldn’t do.

Why Ohio state? Clemson and ND will lose before I see Ohio State losing. So we can get in over them. Clemson May lose tomorrow tbh.

450, 275, 330, the number of yards isn't going to come down much. Great if it does, but how about we start with a few forced turnovers and maybe some timely 3rd down sacks? That would be improvement that would let me know things are turning around.

One glaring thing missing this years has been that edge rusher that can disrupt the offense. As bas as we were as a whole last year, Oko occasionally caused havoc, which leads to Tackles for loss or INTs/fumbles. Eric Striker before him did the same thing. I have yet to see that happen at all this year. Can Ronnie Perkins step into that role?

I think both Perkins and Redmond could excel on the edge rush. Mann has occasional shine time, but Bledsoe not so much. Plus it seems like this year, we over pursue and slide off guys that are trying to be tackled. Hope the defensive change helps in all facets. Tired of seeing opposing QBs sitting in their Lazy Boy cherry picking receivers to throw to...or taking off on jail breaks with large gains. Teams we have played have been average to below average...and Army put forth one of the most effective game plans that I can remember. Play feisty !!
