That countdown is about to reach zero. Been preaching for a while about the dominoes being ready to fall for Oklahoma basketball 2019 recruiting. And yep, we’re just about there.
Another weekend of official visits to go with a slew of in-home visits made by the coaches and the class won’t be stuck at the one commit much longer.
Start with traveling the country with assistant coach Carlin Hartman. He began his tour in Idaho, which brings us to one of this weekend’s three official visitors, Khalid Thomas.
OU is going to need all the help it can get with its bigs, so Thomas is an intriguing option as one of the top-ranked junior college bigs in the country.
Go big or go home. OU not likely to land five-star Jaden McDaniels, but why not give it a whirl?
Just haven’t heard anything from anybody about McDaniels being a realistic option.
A little under the radar, someone who is starting to emerge more and more in Emmanuel Andrew.
Things aren’t OMG serious at this point, but certainly a name to keep tabs on as we get closer.

*You start looking at this weekend’s visitors. Outside of Thomas, you’re gonna have Tyson Etienne and Terry Armstrong.
After talking to some sources, feel more confident about Etienne than Armstrong. And really, feel a lot more confident about Etienne than did say 2-3 weeks ago. Thought it was more of a shot in the dark, but sounds like could be a realistic chance.

*However, if you’re looking for immediate commitments, you just have to keep Victor Iwuakor and Jalen Hill circled. OU has closed hard on both and made the necessary impression. It simply feels like a countdown to when it’s gonna go down.
*Give credit to De’Vion Harmon, who has fought hard to make things happen in this class. He went to Norman on back-to-back-to-back weekends and has been a nice fixture throughout the summer. He wanted to make sure some top-tier talent would be joining him…. Well, that work is about to pay off.
* And that'll set the stage for next week where Samuell Williamson and Malik Hall are expected to be among the official visitors for OU-Army FB weekend.
