* Obviously a massive weekend for the OU baseball team coming off the surprising three game sweep of Texas. All of the sudden Oklahoma enters the weekend a single game out of fourth place in the Big 12. As I posted in another thread earlier this week, IF you could find a way to sweep this weekend you're putting yourself not only in consideration for an NCAA at-large bid but you're also moving into the top of the conference. Which is shocking given the 4-8 start in conference play.
* Clearly the two most important aspects of last weekend's series in Austin: Bullpen pitching & defense. Not going to sit here and say Carter Campbell needs to be the Big 12 Pitcher of the Week again. And we're not going to crown Will Carsten for his work. But counting on guys to come in and record outs seems to be a nice little formula.
Last week in Austin the bullpen: 11.1 innings, 7 hits, 3 earned runs, 1 walk and 11 Ks
