I didn't say Macey wad slow. She's not catcher slow or slow like some pitchers who have big butts are slow.
But she's not fast. She may have a stolen base or two against some weak catchers or on the back end of a 1st and 3rd double steal, but she's not somebody who would be asked to steal a base against playoff teams when one is needed. She's not Mendes fast. She's not Arnold fast. She is a reliable defensive player who deserves great credit as the only senior on this team, headed to the Supers. But she's not as fast as our other two outfielders. That's not a complaint, or a knock. But your own arrogance is pretty close to unsurpassed here.
And I am certain l didn't say l could win an NC with Geno's players. But the fawning over his superiority by the UConn apologists here is inflated. He doesn't have the kind of competition that is on the men's side.
And I did say that any quality high school boys team would beat OConn's women pretty easily. Because it's true. There isn't a woman in the world that could play in the NBA. That is my point.
And though l love OU women's athletics, especially softball, and gymnastics, l believe strongly that Title IX is inherently unfair.
The thing about opinions, is that even those of us who have opinions here that you disagree with, are still allowed to post them.
Perhaps if you had a daughter who went to college on an athletic scholarship you might feel differently about title 9. Thank God idiots like you have no say in how title 9 is implemented. What would your brilliant plan be. Scholarships being awarded based on the revenue production by a sport. Of course a good boys team could beat the U Conn women. What the hell does that have to do with anything. You are quick to point out that Auriema does not face the competition that the men coaches face. Well the great UCLA teams coached by John Wooden did not have a lot of competition. There was no parody in basketball back then. Have you ever heard of Kareem Abdul Jabar, Bill Walton, Jamal Wilkes, Mike Warren, Sydney Wicks. John Wooden had great talent to work with. You know what, even you might have been able to coach those teams. As stated earlier, thank God you had no input into the implementation of title 9. One more thing.
