WNBA players association is opting out of the CBA.
Chauncey Billups - "It doesn't matter to whether me that they have a ton of profits."
Stan Van Gundy - "It's not just about business. It is about the kind of world we want to live in."
Is this about equality? or this about wanting handouts? How come there aren't more women who come to WNBA games and support these players? How long can they make this Men vs Women problem? At what point do they hold theirselves (women) accountable for the support of the WNBA?
The WNBA has not turned a profit in its 22 years since its inception in 1996.
How many businesses would still be around after not turning a profit for 20+ years. Is it just me or is anyone else wanting NBA owners to just fold this league and shut it down. We'll see where they are in 5-10 years and see if they want to b*tch about their salaries. Fact of the matter is they chose this industry and continue to choose this industry in spite of the current situation.
I guess this falls on the owners too. They've let the league exist for so long without turning a profit that its almost taken for granted. They should've done away with it a long time ago.
