I know it's late (or early) but he and I both cherish the nights. Today's been a wonderful day (I know, I haven't forgotten that the Sooners got their asses whupped), but Dar whipped up an amazing brunch. My kids and grandkids were over, all TV's were blaring, and Buster was in hog heaven. We all had a great day.
Finally , things started slowing down about 9 or 10 and everyone started heading for home and I was able to spend some time on the ol computer and I had a chance to reflect on the day and all my blessings. My grandkids are a gift. They infuse energy into my life, but I gotta work to keep the little turds in line and to help them keep remembering, that their ol PaPa, is the bull of the woods and the boss. I look into their faces and can see the love and respect.
Back to the walk. I knew Buster was needing to piss so I looked at him and said let's go walking. He knows what that means so he went a little ape shit with excitement. So I grab a 2000 lumen flash light, put an auto knife in my pocket, and decide on a Glock 43 as my carry. Away we go. I stand outside, savoring the night, looking at the deep shadows that are hiding all kinds of mysteries. I peer into the trees and see the gentle breezes working their way thru the leaves and branches, finally I gaze into the heavens, pondering many things. The clouds, stars, and infinity all helping me stay grounded in the things that I believe.
Anyway, we take off and we enjoy each minute of the walk. It was a tame walk, no unexplainable sounds, or threats to our persons. We encountered 2 screeching owls who were still hunting for small tasty morsels. Buster took a total of 7 pisses and I had 2. Both of us did not neglect our favorite Oak tree.
So we're back home and I'm finishing this thread. It's now time for us to hit the ol fart sack.......Peace Brah's.
