I know there were some questions or concerns , because of kickoff time , whether we’d have it or not.
Well we are. Actually, in someways, the schedule may make for an even a better Tailgate. Here’s how.
We’re going to kick it off Sat at 9am. We’ll have snacks and drinks (water, pop, and yes, brewskis)
You cats can come and socialize, and then leave (for the game) or stay at the rv and watch the game there. They’ll be others watching the game from there also. Agent SiC has volunteered to be head master.
Remember, there is a bus shuttle from Loyd Noble to the stadium as well as a return trip to LN. I think it costs a dollar or two for the round trip.
Now pay very close attention to the following info. Read it twice. The Tailgate will be held at my rv spot at LN.
The rv village is on the west side of LN. Now here’s the tricky part. My rv spot is on the SE part of the rv village which is on the West side of LN. My spot is clearly marked E111. Also , I’ll be flying the largest OU flag on the lot. Hopefully the wind is blowing.
The main part of the party will be after the game (approx 2:30 to 3) . That’s when the bbq comes out with trimmings. We’ll keep going til everyone gets tired and goes home.
Also, DrPacheco will be grilling his award winning brats and sausages. There’ll even be desserts.
Dar, Buster and I will be providing the bbq and drinks.
You need to bring your own chair or probably stand.
I’m reserving the rv rest room for the ladies and us dudes will use the portapot. Stationed around the village.
I’m planning on being at the rv spot around 3pm on Fri. I could sure use 2 or 3 laborers to help me set up the tents etc. it goes up pretty fast. Maybe an hour.
I need help on the tear down, as well. I think the best time would be Sat evening when everyone throws in the towel. I think last year, it took less than an hour.
Last year we had around 50 show up and it was a remarkably good time. I met some of you for the first time and was thrilled with how the whole gig worked out
We all unanimously agreed that we wanted to do it again this year. So we are.
Now for food planning purposes, I need to get the best head count possible. I’m primarily need a count for the after game attendance.
So, @SoonerInColumbia @Jaaa @Dr Pacheco @boomerg @gabbo34 , am I forgetting anything.
Remember fellow Scoopers, this gig is so informal it’s funny. Being relaxed and happy is the main rule.
Remember everyone, even if you signed up on the earlier thread, please do it again.
Concentrating on the after game attendance headcount.
