I agree. Just push the words with a great voice and it takes care of itself.
I prefer that a band play and fans sing the song.....or only invite a military soloist to sing. They always perform the anthem as it was intended.

The poster implies that all bad versions of the S.S.B. are performed by African-Americans so the opinion must be racially motivated. Personally, I've heard some extremely bad versions sung by Caucasian C&W performers who could euphemistically be called "Rednecks." The real issue is that there have been and will continue to be some less than stellar performances of our national anthem.
What's hysterical about some of your most recent posts Scholz, is that it confirms you are a massive failure in life, you clearly realize it, and your just wanting to find others to blame it on.
Worst I've ever seen, and close to the most criticized, was Roseanne Barr's. I guess we discriminated against her, because she was fat and ugly.
I blame the Padres management for Barr's "singing" the Anthem. They knew what she was going to do and were okay with it.
As far as the Anthem goes, I personally would prefer "America the Beautiful" replacing it.

That's more of a what is question. scholz is an internet character that was born on orangebloods. scholz began as a victim of Bob Stoops. scholz apparently had most of his/her self worth invested in the Shortwhorns and Bob took it all away by dominating the Lesserwhorns. He or she became a bitter internet troll consumed with hatred for all things Sooner, like to ISIS levels, and managed to get banned from just about every message board while following Sooner fans around spewing his/her anger and frustration.
It took a turn for the worse (right, like anybody expected it could get worse) after the election of Obama. scholz wore his left leaning status on his sleeves. Once folks began posting disapproval of Obama's policies, actions, etc, scholz became certain that it was all caused by rampant racism. He or she became more and more militant about the subject of politics and even the die hard Sooner haters on orangebloods took a dislike of him/her. That drove scholz further into the abyss of everyone is a racist and led to his/her multiple bannings on his/her own board. Once Trump came into the picture, scholz became completely unhinged and converted to the full time social justice warrior of Rivals you see today (Stanklove). He/she patrols the sports message boards looking for any instance of potential non-politically correct behavior, like a story posted about a fat lady or a post criticizing Hillary Clinton, and then goes complete Trigglypuff (see below) until his/her latest username gets banned. It is absolutely some of the best entertainment offered online today.
I do have a feeling that scholz has a bunch in common with Trigglypuff, who is featured in this actual video captured of the creature.

As much as I like giving Scholz grief it's my understanding he isn't banned on OB, he kind of just disappeared after the election. No doubt Stanklove is BLH reincarnate though imo.
Did you know that the Star-Spangled Banner has only officially been recognized as the national anthem since 1932? Prior to that, there were several different anthems, like Hail, Columbia which I remember being taught as a child in the fifties, America, which was based on God Save the Queen, etc. Some of attempted to get America, The Beautiful named as a replacement for the Star-Spangled Banner, much of the attempt being motivated by a desire to put an end to the political use of the Banner.
It was first used at a sporting even in 1918, and it really wasn't widely used until WWII. If you remember, everything about that time had a war/patriotism theme. All comics in the newspapers ended every day with Buy Bonds. A lot of movies involved the selling of war bonds. After WWII, we just kept a lot of the war patriotism going, some for the wrong reasons. I would rather that we not involve demands of "be patriotic my way" at football games.

Just now seeing this post. Man I thought the 2 trollers that showed up recently were dead ringers for Scholz!!! But I saw the post on Orangebloods earlier and the mod there says it sounds like BLH. I vaguely remember BLH posting, but never saw anything like was posted on here this past week. The only thing close to it was generally posted by Scholz.
BillyRay he probably kept it inline over here but go look at my last post in the "Surprise, Surprise.." thread on OB, he's run through numerous usernames on OB for going off just like he did this week over here.

I stand corrected then. I was almost positive it was Scholz over here. But if Belldozer and even the mod over on Orangebloods tags a different culprit, then I'm inclined to agree with them.
