Baylor junior quarterback Seth Russell, who suffered a neck injury during a game against Iowa State in the fall, has been cleared medically to return to the football field according to a statement he release via Instagram on Monday.
The statement from Russell read as follows:
To God be the glory! Prayers have been answered. Thanks to Doctor Emory, Doctor Russell and the entire West Virginia spine center for keeping my dream alive! Had one of my last check ups today and was given the go to getting back on the field and back to work! #proveandinspire

Prior to his injury, Russell completed 119 of 200 pass attempts for 2,104 yards and 29 touchdowns against only 6 interceptions. He also rushed for 402 yards and 6 six touchdowns on 49 attempts.
Baylor is set to begin spring practice at the end of February.
