OT: Remove Video from Scoop Sidebar (Google Chrome)

If you're like me and get annoyed by the constant moving video when reading threads on the Scoop, you can follow these steps to remove the video (if using Google Chrome web browser).

Download the Stylus extension for Google Chrome by clicking here.

Click the jigsaw piece [1] to the right of the address bar to manage extensions then click Stylus [2].

Click the Manage button from the Stylus menu.

Click the Write new style button under Actions on the left side menu.

Paste the following code into the code pane:
#ds_content_frame_parent {​
display: none;​
}​

Give your style a name and make sure the Enabled box is checked, then click the Save button.

Now, the next time you load the Scoop or view a thread the floating video should be gone and will remain gone until the style or extension is toggled off.

If you ever do need to turn this off for any reason, just open up the Stylus extension menu and uncheck the style or just toggle to turn all styles off.
