Sunday night, I'm checking into the Hardrock hotel at five PM.
A complimentary room mind you.
I'll take a long, soapy shower, put on my best bib and tucker...then go down to the casino and burn through the 30 dollar free play that's in the offing.

When that's gone, I'll go to the Highway 66 diner, eat the comped 15 dollar hamburger...then retire to the room with the identical twin midget gals...
Check out at 11 the next morning.
America...what a country!:D

How ironic! I had the exact same experience 2 weeks ago only I checked out at noon. Had to get the last threesome in.

See, you get it too.
My whole goal here is to spend zero money of my own...except for drinks and tips.

Anything under 50 bucks is total victory...including gas to get there and back. I've done it before.

Just got to have a little discipline.:)

(I could very well be voted an honorary Hebrew...;)

My wife and I once took a 99 dollar trip to Elko, NV. (Air and rooms included). I won 2 grand on the blackjack table.

The wife won 600.00 on the last day. I swear, these people e-mailed me and even called me trying to get a return visit. They wanted their money back.....I finally told them I was a card counter and they left me alone. And no, I'm not a card counter..............HA!

What do you suppose Millers biggest hit was?

'Keep on rocking me'?
Saw him a couple of times in my 'ute'. Always liked him.
Not sure , but I would take anything on Fly Like an Eagle. maybe the Joker? Take the Money?

and believe it or not just inducted into the R&R hall of fame!

I always like that song about Jay Leno.

Oh, Oh big ol' jay leno
Don't carry me too far away
Oh, Oh big ol' jay leno
Cause it's here that I've got to stay

As an expected, or not so expected follow up, I had a pretty good night.
Early on, I burned through the aforementioned 30 dollars free play, had to play on some guts with my own money.
Started out badly, lost 100+ in short order.
Then, not to be deterred, I got on a 5 dollar lucky ducky machine and she lit up pretty good. Got several red screen free spins that were ca-ching.
Long story short, I left with 280 more than I walked in with...plus the gratis room.
The room, although peasant class was clean, well appointed.

It's worthy of doing again in May and June. (does anyone know May and June?, I'm sure they're lovely gals)

I don't casino...so please forgive ignorance....BUT...don't you have to drop some coin at these places in ORDER to get rooms/food comped to begin with??!

In my experience it's not so much how much coin you drop/lose in a casino. But generally to get things comped you have to be gambling with some good sized bets for a good chunk of time before you get the attention needed to get free perks thrown at you. You can play for hours on end and not get anything comped if you are just playing small money or making minimum level bets.

That's indeed true, very true.
It goes both ways however.
Around three years ago I jackpotted a 5 dollar machine, won 2800. Ever since then I've been getting the incentives to return so they can recoup.
Admittedly they've gotten some back in dribs and drabs, but I'm still ahead of them when considering my whole 'body of work'.
I keep a ledger here at the house. :D
