So 6 years ago, I made a bet with an OSU fan (a friend of mine) that was simply $100 per year OU vs OSU football - straight up - for life. The last 5 years it went well, with me winning each game except the “re-kick” game in Norman. This year, however, things went south. OU won and the OSU guy texted me Sunday morning after the game that “from now on, our bet is with the point spread and no longer straight up.”
Question: is it BS that he wants to change the terms of our bet after agreeing to it and shaking hands on it 6 years ago considering it’s a “lifetime” bet? Or is such a request acceptable?
I would appreciate your thoughts as it really pisses me off.
