Good morning/afternoon, and happy thanksgiving to everyone.
My cousin Alexia (age 22) could use a prayer, a thought of good will, or any form of good karma.
Last night she was rushed to the hospital for an appendectomy, while they were confirming that diagnoses she was diagnosed with Lymphoma.
All I ask, is if you have a dollar to spare, to donate to the American Cancer Society.
Cancer is hell, and it must be stamped out.
Take care gents, I wish you all well.
SC.
Edit: I will update this thread as I find out more info, and post any good news.
Update: 11/23/18 - They are doing bone marrow testing today.
I'm waiting on a bit of info to get the GoFundMe started.
Update: 11/25/18 - There is going to be some good news, a bit of no news is good news, and some bad new (I'll keep that part brief).
DIAGNOSIS: STAGE 1 - ALM
Acute Myeloid Leukemia
This is the good news, it was caught "Very Early"
-Per the "Real Life" Dr. Cox
Treatment
28 Days Chemo
No word on radiation requirements
There are apparently a couple of mutations (couple good and a couple bad) they are still testing for.
Bad news: It's chemo, who knows what it will do to the body.
OH and no, the campaign name will not be changing.
Update: 11/26/18 - Mutation and Chemo
Just a quick update - Chemo therapy started today.
Also, it was determined that one of the mutations will require a Bone Marrow Transplant.
