Last night a friend told me that Mark May has been "transferred" to another ESNP program pairing him up with John Saunders and Mack Brown. So, Rece Davis got promoted to College Game Day, Holtz retired (hoorah), and now Mark May has been moved to another spot. Now the ESPN after the games program that I watch each Saturday night will have an all new cast. Adnan Virk (sp) will take Davis' spot and be joined by Joey Galloway and Danny Kanell. Kanell is the only one that I would recognize, so I did a little search and discovered that Virk is a Canadian and the only Muslin sports broadcaster working for ESNP. Okay. Galloway has been working college football games for ESNP for a few years...I guess I've never paid that much attention. So it will be interesting to see how well this trio performs. Danny Kanell isn't very outgoing, IMO, so unless he is coached up, he won't match the craziness that either May or Holtz had, which may be a good thing.
While checking on Galloway, I learned the he and thirteen others are being enshrined into the Ohio State football hall of fame this year. One the of the 14 inductees is a guy by the name of Jim Tressel, which I found to be interesting. Some will raise their eyebrows about Tressel's induction, but I don't see anything wrong with it. That's just my outlaw upbringing I guess. I worked in the automotive business for 46 years, so there you go.
