Men, I've done a pretty good job preparing for football season. I live in Kansas so not always easy to get back to the games and I'm regular Saturday couch potato during the season. I took part in the Main Boards "Beer it Forward" program and was luckily to get a shipment in yesterday from a UNC fan. I'm having a nice IPA from Red Hare brewery in Georgia.
Anyway, I have this moldy, dusty, crap partial basement that we use for storage. The house as built in 1932 and is in a nice old neighborhood and we love it. This basement has never been anything, sometimes it leaks and makes a great home for the cat. This off season I decided to make that basement my OU man cave. I've spent my free time this summer cleaning and securing it. I acid washed the floor, patched the floor and walls and even built a french drain outside. I also leveled part of the floor, painted the walls with waterproof paint, rolled epoxy paint on the floor that's intended for garages, and moved all the storage to the back corner. I did it. I've spent probably 200 hours down there working. It's just about done and I installed a projector with a 84" screen. I just ordered a recliner and a new couch to go down there and my wife is getting some nice OU framed art for the walls. By next week my OU Man Cave will be ready for season. Since we have a few weeks, I have Super Mario Kart 64 ready to hook up to the projector. I also have Golden Eye because my life is dope and I do dope sh*t.
It's time. I'm ready for football.
