Kay Sir Ah Sir Ah!She has been one of the greatest entertainers in my lifetime. A great person and a great lady.
Strangely I read on the net today (so it must be truth), DD supposedly was not having a Memorial service, funeral or any kind of grave marker...
I'm reminded of the ending of The Green Mile. When you live to 97, most of your friends are gone. Her only child, a son, died 15 years ago. She hasn't been married since the early 80s. There were certainly fans to remember her, but not much family. His dad was married to his mom for less than three years. They were divorced in the early 40's.ia, this practice is becoming more prevalent.......at least, the non-service part. Cremation without any type of service is becoming a choice as well. The first big name that I recall was Cary Grant.
