I wish he had resigned before the 2006 season.

If he couldn't handle the pressure of being HC at UDub, hard to imagine he could handle it at UT.

Or maybe it's a done deal. He's never had access to the kinds of players he could in Austin. But at 55, I'd guess if he coaches again, it might be in Boise.

Read an article that said he had dealt with a young son with juvenile cancer.
Also, said something about his OC being a lifelong friend and he needed to be replaced.
Sounds like he jsut didn't want to have to be the one to can a friend (ala Bob Stoops), so he just hung it up.
He could resurface as a coordinator somewhere or maybe a HC at a smaller school in a couple of years.

About like his 28 predecessors. But I think he's better off at Boise.
