As someone that has been advocating for an apartment/new building/parking like this for years on Campus Corner, I'd say this is a (huge) step in the right direction.
I know the Norman City Council had nixed the idea of building an apartment complex like this north of of the Corner in previous years. So to see it's actually happening is a tremendous step forward & I'm v. excited to see it happen.
Here's an article from the Norman Transcript detailing the new building project approval.
My lifelong dream for Campus Corner is two parts:
1.) Build a skybridge across Asp connecting 747 and Fuzzy's/Sugers ... anyone that knows me knows I've been advocating for this since 2004.
2.) Build a sportsbar where Starbucks is currently on Campus Corner ... looks like Ryan Broyles may have already beat me to the punch.
