and wanted to share, I hope you all don't mind. This article in the 3rd paragraph talks about Barney Cleaver the first Black Tulsa Police Officer. He was appointed by Police Chief Sam Walker. Sam Walker was my Great Grandfather and my nephew Rowdy Don Walker Frederick is his namesake as well as mine. I've heard this story for years and it's cool to see it in print.
