It is not me first of all. I have a very close friend who is like a brother to me who is getting worse with his drug addiction. He has been to rehab one or twice but never seemed like it was a big deal. The other night I was at his house and he and his wife got into a fight and she left. He went to the bathroom and then went to his bedroom. When I walked into a bathroom he had left a spoon with burn marks and a syringe on the counter. I completely freaked out and confronted him about it. At first he blew it off like he was OK but layer admitted he was ashamed of what he was doing. He said he wanted me to see what he was going through. I made a call to his wife and mom and told them that his addiction is getting worse than I ever thought. I feel like garbage for going to those people but they were appreciative I came to them. His mother confronted him and he told her I was lying. For people that have been through this what should be my next move? I've never been part of an intervention and was wondering how successful they are and what to expect? What are some of the better rehab places in Oklahoma? I know his wife said he was worried about the cost of something like this but he has his Cherokee card and there might be funding to help him get the help he needs. I appreciate any advice or input from anyone who may have experience with this.
