Off to Christmas shopping for my wife tomorrow. I hate it. Every year I struggle to buy my loved one a special gift. I used to buy jewelry. I once purchased her a 400 dollar bracelet and she promptly lost it at a New Years Eve party. Forget that.

I've tried buying her clothes or purses with my daughter. She opened them and said "this looks like something your daughter would like". Forget that.

I try to get hints from her. One answer was she needed a new floor sweeper. Yeah, right. Forget that.

Another was buy me some candles. What? You can buy them everyday. Forget that.

Well I'm at the end of the rope and need some suggestions from Senior or Gypsy on what to purchase for a 59 year old women. I will take suggestions from you guy's, but no sports related items. She's not into it.

BTW.....I'm easy to buy for. A new Buck pocket knife or a flashlight. The brighter the better. I get one or the other every year...........:)

I feel your pain and echo your comments. I have given up. I give her cash to do whatever she wants or offer to pay for a girls' only vacation (that's really a gift to myself, but I look awfully nice).
Anything I give her to unwrap comes with the caveat that I will only buy things I know and understand, so she just gets electronics and stuff that she'll use but doesn't appreciate.

I got my grandson a pedal car. Does that count.............LOL

Same here. 32 roadster, Black w/ flames.

I got the wife a new (& tad bigger) rock for the old wedding rock ring. Then took the original and made a pendant. I told her I was taking it in for a re-sizing and cleaning. I'll pick it up next week.

Generally women are pretty simple to buy for and it doesn't have to be expensive. The more emotional attachment it has for them, the better the gift. You could get her a $30 peridot heart from groupon as long as you come up with this elaborate note that goes with it.

"This is not the most expensive gift I've bought, but I thought of the love we had when we were young. The bright green Peridot heart reminds me of the light in your eyes, the beauty of your soul and the color of the grass that spring day we first kissed in the park. It is a token of the younger days, the now and the forever moments like that day in the park that we will share until I die"

Bingo. No problem.

Gift cards. Last year I bought her a foot massage deal, she really like that. My wife wears expensive cologne, so after looking at the brand I bought that, my hell it was not cheap Now I know where my money is going. I ha

Nothing says Merry Christmas to a wife more than.......a pair of nipple clamps, furry handcuffs, and a riding crop! You will thank me later ;)
Lol, now that's a gift. I get a list too, I have ZERO ideas on my own. Then I save the list for anniversary, birthday, so on and so on. Because we know IF MOMA AIN'T HAPPY NO ONE IS.

Well, if it's a gal you're laying the pipe to...gift card, in the form of a credit/debit card she can use anywhere. Minimum...250 bucks.
It's not the 80s anymore.:D

I think my wife could use some SPANXS, GOSH she would kill me if she knew I said this. Isn't that the fix all for women's bodies?
