I decided to give myself the day off. I’m feeling a little lazy with a touch of procrastination.

I’m in the backyard, in a very comfortable chair, and find my mind going in multiple directions. Because I’m made like I am, I’ve got to sort them out and put them in some kind of order

I’ve got several business projects that are requiring my attention. A few key hires, a correction or 2 on several mid range employees, and more important, a tactical whack up side the head for my kids.

They’re smart and capable but they’re not as driven as I was/am. The opportunity that they have is off the charts and I’ve got to instill in them a greater level of entrepreneurial drive. I’ve got to consider and be sure that that my expectations are realistic. I’m confident that levelheadedness will prevail.

As I’m making my mind become more orderly I glance up at the trees and my mind jumps into a new direction. I’m gazing at 4 large mature trees and beautiful colored leaves are breaking loose and the breeze is grabbing them and they drift and flutter in this amazing autumn landscape.

Looking beyond the trees, the sky is blue, full of slow moving clouds traveling to distant places.

The day is magnificent and I’m relishing this time with Buster, in my back yard. As I sit there, a new awareness starts working itself into my mind. I raise my eyes once again and I turn my head to the north and I can feel its deliteful presence. Frosty winter with its cold north winds is just lurking over the horizon.

I love winter. Thanksgiving is just almost in sight. Fellas, this is such a special time. The world may seem to be spinning out of control, but we have our families and we live in a country that still provides amazing opportunities and blessings.

Thanksgiving is so special. Savor it, embrace it, and draw your family near.

And then there’s Christmas. Fellas, I have 5 or 6 thoughts and stories that I want to write to you this season. I only hope that I have enough time and self discipline to do them. Time is like a speeding train. I’ve got to find a way to slow the damn thing down. I have so much to do. But, as my mighty Oak told me last week. Wuf, yesterday is gone and you’re not assured of tomorrow, all you have is right now.

I think that ol tree is one smart cookie. Men embrace each minute, hour, and day.

Well, I’ve got to get in the house. Buster is hungry and I’ve got to get ready to meet Dar for dinner. Men , I love that woman.

Broheims, grab the world by the ass and take control of your lives. You got one go around. Be sure you get your monies worth.

Later!!
