OSU vs. TEXAS

OSU was manhandled on both sides of the ball. I'm really looking forward to seeing how Hurts is going to deal with getting a lot of pressure from TX. My guess is that he is going to take off running.

If the O linemen do their jobs and the receivers get open he won't have to.

Coach Gundy's game decisions cost OSU the game.
However, I saw two teams that will give OU all it can handle.

OSU played a sloppy game from coaching to their special teams. The Shorthorns took advantage of their blunders...even overcoming their own blunders. Sooners need to pick apart the Shorthorns obvious holes in their D...and block well. OSU showed me nothing.

True....but the real question and/or concern for me is what Texas will do against OU's defense, itself with obvious holes.
As for OSU, there is talent on that team to beat OU, but will Gundy's coaching lay another egg ?

Would not be surprised if Hurts and Ehlinger are the top rushers for their respective teams in the Cotton Bowl!

Oh yeah, it was a pretty good game too. I like Hubbard, OSU's RB. Kid's a baller and played his ass off last night. Ingraham and Duvernay for UT is pretty good, but they are a one-man team - Ehlinger. Take him out of the mix and they are toast.

True, but I'm pretty sure TX is going to get pressure on him eventually. I'm not sure he can sit back in the pocket and pick apart the secondary when that happens. I think his first instinct is going to be to take off.

Hurts, Lamb & Haselwood should torch texsa
and i'll tell you why you're right IA....texxass lost 2 of their better secondary players plus a nickle back... not sure who the 3rd player is but sterns and green were legit ballers. neither will be back in time for ou-tx game, with sterns out for the year with a dislocated shoulder and green out 6 wks with a knee injury (injury report courtesy of austin american statesman). that does NOT bode well for the whorns

We will just run it down Okielite, throat. TexASS, will not run the ball on us, like they did junior. They will have to win the game through, the air.

respectfully disagree CT. i dont think os-who and txs match up well with OU. (that being said, i've learned not to discount the intense rivalry aspect of the Tx game or the road venue angle involving the OSU game. BUT that's pretty much both teams only hope.) OU should be able to pass at will against the depleted whorns secondary, thus freeing up a solid run-game. pokes are not equipped defensively to slow the sooner attack by land or air (or sea for the that matter). there are so many flaws in OU's opponents the rest of the schedule (bad offense or bad defense whereas OU is nicely balanced this year) that it's hard to imagine a really close game, much less a loss.

oops CT meant to agree with you on the first part though! man did Gumby do some dumb stuff...fake field goal and failure to exploit tx secondary...over-using hubbard. those are on gumby right?
