I thought maybe one small reason is they must have more players on their roster from Oklahoma. I was surprised to look that up and both OU and osu have exactly the same number of Oklahoma players. 29 each.

I thought that was interesting. I hope this year bedlam osu is already in the top 4 and by winning they assure themselves into the 4 team playoff and we are a big underdog going into Stillwater. It is going to be a great day to break their hearts so bad by putting them out of the playoffs and with a win possibly putting OU into the playoffs. Isn't that the best scenario there could be that was unseen before the season began? Just gotta get by the next 2 weeks with wins for both us and the cowgirls. We need to have an undefeated osu to play our last game. This is our only chance to get into the playoffs and even then I'm not so sure we won't still be on the outside looking in at around 5th or 6th. Darn Texas game could haunt us bigtime.

It's gonna be a wild ride. If we beat Baylor we will roll through the frogs and cowpukes IMO.

I like your thinking. Hope it plays out.

If we win out and still miss out, that Texas game will be one of the biggest mysteries in the universe. We never got off the bus at the Cotton Bowl.

By the way...I heard a very interesting stat from a non-Sooner fan the other day about recruiting. He said no one covers the country in recruiting like OU. I have not checked this data but he said OU has players from 17 different states and Canada. He sighted the fact that OU has coaching relationships in every corner of the USA and receives an extraordinary amount of high school player information well before an initial contact is made. Also, I believe OSU would be well over OU if there was a way of comparing players from Oklahoma that actually contribute to the team in playing time, etc. I have met many guys over the years that said they played football at OU only to find out there dad donated big bucks for a place on the squad that allowed them to suit up at home games. One was a fat white guy named Charles Thompson.

Well, considering we completely own them in football and we are their biggest rival, I can see why OSU gets worked into a lather when Bedlam rolls around. Despite their getting "up" for the big game, we've done a pretty good job of keeping beating them and extending our dominance over them as the most lopsided in-state college football rivalry.

Come on, we've been down this path countless times with you guys. Yes, OSU is a rival, in every sport. It's just that we hate texass more than you guys and consider them a bigger rival. That's all.

Well, the definition of a rival as I know it is, anyone that has any remote chance of beating you on a regular basis. I think OSU qualifies.

History just hasn't smiled on the Pokes that much. (in football that is...you guys rock in golf and wrastlin'):D
