Started posting here on a part-time basis Nov. 20, 2017, after being let go by CBS Sports on Nov. 16. Things were going pretty well after first couple of months here, so we kept working at it to make it something more permanent.

That was one crazy time last year, not knowing what the future was and whether it even included journalism anymore. Nothing was off the table. Thought about PR. Thought about trying to be a professor/teacher. Thought about moving out of state and starting fresh. Nothing was off limits. Feels like forever ago, too, since things have worked out so well.
So S/O to everybody - @Carey Murdock, @Josh_M, @Eddie_Rado and all you guys here. Definitely a feeling out process first year, but it was a lot of fun, enjoyed it and ready to roll for year No. 2.
All that mushy stuff aside, out of pocket today. I am not coming home until we have a second car since my wife is off work rest of week. Been a one-car family since Oct. 25, and I don't like it. Don't know how people can operate like that.
