We don't have hardly any NFL connections/experience.
Saban does, Harbaugh does...Who on our staff other than Reynolds has any NFL cred?
It definitely sells to recruits...Here's an excerpt on Mbem-Bosse's commitment to UM:
"Almost their entire staff has either played or coached in the NFL, or both," he said. "I have an opportunity to learn not only from the coaches I'll work directly with, but from an entire staff who knows what it takes to get to the top level. I feel like after four years at Michigan I'll be more prepared for the NFL than I would be at any other school in the country because of the type of staff they had there."
Kish seems like a great dude, but we need some dudes with NFL experience, whether coaching or as a player, on our staff to land the big boys. Our conference isn't selling and neither are lackluster coaches who scramble to fill spots after the season is over.
I'm not saying the sky is falling and I know we're putting a good product out there...but we could get back to Top 5-8 classes if we had slightly higher expectations.
