KEYS TO THIS SERIES

To coincide with the report from @Jesse Crittenden (See below for link) Coach Gasso was upset with the team saying they were taking games too lightly, from the quote of Coach Gasso Jesse reported,
"I would tell you that I thought this last weekend we were good enough to win," Gasso said during Tuesday's media availability. "We were more average than above average or even exceptional and we got away with it. Our team, we had this discussion, that our goal is to amp up practice and demand better at practice because it's showing in games and that is not what we want." That is exactly what I believe our keys to the series need to be. There needs to be an explosion of offense throughout the game. At times in the series "typically the beginning of games" the offense was non existant until about the 4th inning. As they start playing more difficult teams, this will become a problem if they cannot capitalize on RISP or keep the bats hot. As Patty Stated, bats were good, not ELITE. Defense has been stellar, as well as our new stable of pitchers. Pitching has been downright dominate. I look at defense and ptiching to maintain their ELITE status and this series hopefully we will see the offense set into their groove. Monticelli gets to face her former college in Wisconsin this weekend, so I look forward to the "Much to Prove in Patty's eyes" Sooner gals this weekend. BOOMER!
