Hatchett's weight at 302 lbs isn’t an issue.Hopefully he gets up to 320-330, we do not need another Byrd
What may be an issue is his pass blocking, which is why he was a part time starter the past two years.
Penix, looking like a should have been Heisman winner against Texas, couldn't hit the ocean from the beach in the NC game. And the Wolverines were allowed to hit his receivers like they were OSU playing in Stillwater.UW's repeated failure to identify the DB blitz and just ignore/whiff on it was disturbing. Hopefully its just their OL coach and this kid isn't that bad on pass protection. Their sack numbers are low because Pennix is mobile and a master of getting rid of the ball, but the 2nd half of the NC was painful to watch when the UW O was out there; just zero adjustment to pick up the UM blitz.
Just wonder why he left Washington to come to OU. NIL, SEC., what?
