On the rise thanks in large part to OU.
It seems to me that OU playing OSU at end of the year during such a critical week of key rivalries and championships has helped to raise OSU’s profile to the media and recruits. I have never been in favor of this ‘featured’ game. It puts Okie Lite on the level of Michigan – Ohio State, Oklahoma – Texas, Florida - Florida State, etc…when they are historically really a joke of a program. With a raised profile it makes them more appealing to the highest quality recruits. I think we were foolish to do this.
Between their facilities renovations, which we could not affect, and this featured game, which we did affect, they are doing pretty well.
