Official Prediction Thread: Sooners @ Buckeyes

I'm fascinated with the potential of the offense, and believe that the defense will stand up and be a factor.

Call it a homer pick if you want, but I like the Sooners 41-31, or better.

Mikey chatted with Brent in the off-season. He couldn't quite understand him, but he caught enough to hold them to 14 points.

Our offense rolls.

38-14 OU!!

24-12...

OU..3 TDs...3 PATs and an Honorary FG for 40th Anniversary of Ewe & The Kick...
tosu...TD...Missed PAT...TD...Goes for 2...Missed, Again...

Game Over! 'W'

27-24 OU.

Baker leads a last possession come-from-behind winning drive sending the Buckeyes and their fans along with the ESPN elite scum home crying.

Baker's drive earns him favor in the Heisman balloting and seals his legend in OU's glorious history. The boys go onto the natty game against the once again overly hyped SEC machine...and we win!.. again!

I think you are spot on...this is Baker Mayfield's spotlight game. He excels in this game and all the Sooner haters can crawl back under the rocks and yucca plants.

I honestly think OU will win, but I can't pick it here. Bad luck. We play better when I pick a loss.

I see several key issues. Wilson and MStoops really didn't match up that much at OU in scrimmages. Mike left a year after Kevin arrived. But there is some pride there.

I think Kevin/Urban will figure out how to simply switch strong to weak side 2/3 of the time, screwing with Sooner keys, especially with newbie linebackers.

Number 1 key is how OU's OLine matches up in the 2nd half. Number 2 key is the inverse. How does OUr DLine hold up after adjusting.

3. OUr corners against their 3 or 4 wides.

4. Three or fewer false starts in the noise. Not Brown's strongest facet. Will it affect his play protecting Baker's backside?

5. Can OU match tOSU's big play potential? We didn't at home with Joe and Samaje. Crucial. They are "more athletic." But we have to make some major plays. Both sides.

6. Can we win turnover battle?

7. Does Lincoln match or hopefully excede Urban's creativity?

8. Siebert has to be a positive factor.

9. 19 has to be a big factor. Bigger than against Auburn.

10. Who gets luckier?

Buckeyes 35-31. But not really

It's road game.

This was not a key issues thread! It was a simple post your prediction. All did that with perhaps a short comment or two. I started through your post then stopped to take a break so I could read War and Peace. You did leave out the single most important issue. When time expires in the forth quarter will the Sooners be ahead? If so I think they will win.
OU 38 - tOSU 35.
