I went to the OU v Ole Miss bowl game in Shreveport in 99’
I had seen a lot of bad OU football the previous 5-6 seasons, as had every fan…. I remember well one faceless OU alum behind me say: “hey, it’s been awhile since we’ve been to a bowl….. I’m going to enjoy it even if it’s in Shreveport !”

Last season….. neither TCU nor Texas made bowl games…. Kansas State limped in.
OU won a number of games based on the FACT that there was an “all-timer” at QB.
That’s great, but BV intends (as he has said, to build a different culture here)….
I see signs.
I’m disappointed as well, in my mind this team should be 8-4 at worst - But this year, these growing pains - will pay dividends down the road.
