As has become customary for the Sooners in the Stoop era, OU s$&t the bed when it matters the most. Given the opportunity to win a straightforward game against an overmatched opponent, while also putting a bitter rival's program into a tailspin, Stoops & Co. were either too arrogant or lazy to develop a gameplan that neutralized the opponent's few strengths and exploited their many well-documented weaknesses. In fact, it is highly debatable whether Lincoln Riley even bothered with a gameplan. The team is gutless, heartless, weak, undisciplined and lazy. They do not block, tackle, run or catch particularly well. On those rare occasions when the actually manage to execute effectively, the staff is apparently too busy patting themselves on the back for the play all to get the next play in without a timeout. Simply put, the lack of intelligence, dedication and preparation consistently displayed by the OU staff is unworthy of support from the players, fans or generations of former players who always came to the RRS ready to play.
By the end of this year, even the most ardent Stoops supporters are going to realize that mediocrity is the best he is capable of delivering. Today was the was the beginning of another 5 loss campaign.
